REPTILE SUBSTRATES  

Different reptiles have different substrate requirements. All reptile substrates are not safe for all reptiles, so be sure to research your herp’s habitat requirements. Some species need to tunnel, tropical species need a moist substrate, desert species a dry substrate. Carnivorous reptiles require a safe substrate to prevent risk of impaction if ingested.
